Your Arrival – Gojo Samurai Machiya

Thank you very much again for choosing our Gojo Samurai Machiya for your stay in Kyoto. We hope you will enjoy the place and your stay in Kyoto.
Before anything, here is the information you will need upon your arrival in Kyoto.
Check-in process
This is usually taken care of in an office near the Kyoto train station. You’ll find the address, the contact info, and a map to easily get to the “MACHIYA INNS & HOTELS Welcome Desk” here: Registration/Check-in Desk
And here are the directions on Google Maps: Check-in Desk (The Office). The office is about 300-400 m from the station and the procedure will only take a few minutes. You’ll receive all kinds of information about Kyoto to facilitate your stay and your visit. Also, the bilingual staff will be pleased to answer any questions you may have. They can, if you want, call you a cab to go to the house.
If you arrive too early to go to the house right away, you can drop off your luggage at the office and enjoy a meal or a visit until the check-in time.
If for any reason, this is not convenient for you, and you prefer to go directly to the house upon your arrival in Kyoto, without going to the office, you can preregister directly with me by sending me the passport of everyone in your party by email before you arrive in Kyoto. You’ll find all the information HERE !
Be sure to download the file you need (Check-in Office or Preregistration via email). If you choose to preregister, please let me know at least three days before your check-in date!
Do get in touch directly with our staff, if you didn’t preregister with me and if you think you won’t be able to go to the office between 10:00 and 19:00 on the day you arrive. The contact info is as follows:

Then you’ll find here “Map – Kyoto Station to Gojo Machiya“, a file showing you the location of the Gojo Samurai Machiya and instructions on how to get there by taxi (the cost should be about 1,000 – 1,200 yen for up to four people from Kyoto station.)
