It was the first time we stayed in a Machiya, and having rented a whole house only for us was a great experience. We could really enjoy and relax only among friends.
The place was beautiful and easily spacious enough for all of us. Its location is particularly good as a starting point to visit the city.
I particularly appreciated the view of the Tsubo garden from the bathroom.
The Samurai armor in the Japanese-style room scared some of us. But in general, the style of the house and its features let us experience living in a traditional Japanese house and we all enjoyed it very much.
All the five of us hope to be able to come back and enjoy the place again.
