World Heritage Tour Bus

While we have not actually use this bus ourselves, we thought this information could be of interest to a number of our guests.  This may be a good option to easily get to see a number of these Unesco sites.  Read on!  And be sure to let us know how it goes if you do use this bus!

Easy route, easy timetable, no need for transfers!

The World Heritage Tour Bus allows you the freedom to enjoy World Heritage sites and other important cultural spots at your own pace.  Enjoy audio guidance while travelling between stops.  Unlimited hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus.


Visit Kyoto’s cultural and UNESCO World Heritage listed spots.

Travel between spots in comfort – seating for every passenger!


Fare: Adult 2100 yen Child 1050 yen  One day unlimited entry/exit pass.

Bus operations: Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays. (no operation between 12/26 and 1/4)

C.—Nijo Castle – Purchase on bus

F.—Kitanohakubaicho Station – Purchase on bus

I.—Kitaoji Station – Purchase on bus

K.—Demachiyanagi Station – Purchase on bus

For foreign languages (English/Chinese/Korean), audio receiver rental is available at Kyoto Station

Fee: 1 day 500 yen. 2000 yen deposit (refunded upon return).
