Kyoto - Hanami Cherry Blossom in the park next to our Gojo Machiya
March 28th, things are suddenly moving fast.  Yes, Hanami (flower viewing) is about enjoying the “transient beauty” of flowers.  Three days ago, we had almost no flowers, and today, they are starting to blossom around the south of the city.

Kyoto Hanami - Along the Kamogawa River, South of Gojo Dori
The tree in the little park next to our Gojo Machiya (Honmachi Koen) is already full of beautiful white flowers.  And while there is almost no flowers yet on the cherry trees along the Kamo River north of the Fifth street (Gojo Dori), the ones on the south, between the Fifth Street and the Seventh Street (Gojo Dori and Shichijo Dori) are already in full bloom.   Needless to say that with the beautiful and warm weather we had yesterday, there were a lot of people walking around.
