At the end of the year 2010, we had the chance to wake up in the morning and discover the city under snow. We rushed to various temples as it was a unique opportunity to see them covered with a fresh white carpet of snow.
Things got worse and the snow fell heavily. One of the most impressive place was the Kiyomizu-Dera Temple, captured in a mini-snow storm. It was beautiful.
Winter may not be the best time to visit the Kiyomizu-Dera temple, although the sky is usually clear. But no more red and yellow leaves, and no cheery blossoms yet. However, if you’re lucky to have some snow, then the magic restarts.
